I had the great opportunity to work on the art direction and brand identity for this special concept. Barklyn stands for Barquisimeto, Barinas, and Brooklyn, the three cities that connect the hometowns and roots of Dennhys and Andres, two Venezuelan immigrants now looking to revolutionize the Venezuelan comfort food by making it vegan for the first time. 
The truly Venezuelan flavor adapting to Brooklyn. 

Designed for young immigrants who crave home and for the diverse Brooklyn community, Barklyn offers homemade plant-based baked goods, specializing in ‘tequenos’. The favorite Venezuelan snack that brings people together. 

The concept and brand identity highlight the letter B that the three cities share in their name. The identity has elements from the Venezuelan flag like the 7 stars combined with the traditional American colors. A series of illustrated icons were designed as part of the brand identity to reinforce the two most important elements of Barklyn, products hand-made and plant-based.

The main uses of this brand identity will be digital marketing and traditional printed applications such as packaging and labels in the near future.
